Last Thursday we lost our sweet bird Coco. Jailyn and I printed off posters and hung them around town and at grocery stores. We told our neighbors to be on the look out and posted a lost/found on craigslist. Thursday night after a 97 degree day at 55% humidity we prayed and prayed that Coco would find her way home or that she would find a new home or go to live with our Heavenly Father, but mostly we prayed for her to come home. That night was the biggest, loudest, windiest, rainiest storm I have ever experienced in my life. We received 4 inches of rain that night and figured that if poor Coco wasn't safe in someones home she hadn't made it through the night.
We continued to pray for her and Jailyn always reminded us that Heavenly Father can do anything. I was skeptical because I owned a bird when I was younger that flew out the door and was never found and my family has lost a few that way.
On Saturday we got an email saying that someone had found a cockatiel on their sun porch and hoped that it was ours. When we called them we found out that it wasn't Coco. Jailyn was devastated and the search/mourning continued. On Monday morning we got another email from craigslist saying someone had found our cockatiel and that they just knew she was ours. We got ready and headed over to their house at 10 in the morning.
WE FOUND COCO!!!! The teenage daughter was outback Sunday night playing volleyball with friends when out of the 95 degree blue sky flew this yellow bird. The boy tried to protect himself from the oncoming bird, but was shocked when it just landed on his finger. For the rest of the night they played with her, fed her and cared for her. The people that found Coco are amazing, they have already invited us over for dinner and are bird sitting Coco this weekend while we go on a weekend vacation.
After praying to thank God for watching over our bird for us over the past 4 days, Andi is the only person who has been able to explain how Coco made it. She says that Heavenly Father took Coco up to heaven until he found a family for her to go to that would take care of her.
I am convinced that we would have never met this family if Coco hadn't flown out of our home and into theirs. They have asked us about our church and we are hoping that we can make some great friends out of this and maybe share a bit more or our beliefs with them. Who knows...By small and simple things, are great things brought to pass!

Mr. B's 2nd Birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOOOO YOUUU!
Mr. B turned 2 on July 20th and was spoiled by all of his family and friends!
We
had our friends the Hollister's over for Sweet Pork Burritos and Cake
and Ice Cream. The kids loved having them over even though there is a
little bit of an age gap between the Hollister kids and mine. Here's
some pics of the big event!!! (in no particular order)
Mr. B with his crazy excited face enjoying his new basketball!
Excited about his cake! He ate most of the frosting off of the basketball part before we even had the party. He couldn't wait!
Nicole, Lauren and Megan playing dress up during the festivities. Lauren was the Mom, Nicole and Megan were the sweathearts and honeys!
All tuckered out the next day from the crazy party night!
The cake before Braken attacked it!
Looking at the bags and not being interested at all with the clothes that were inside.
Being completely stoked with the soccer goal from Grandma Angie! (Video to come)
Opening his little tykes basketball hoop, video to come of this too!
Right when we thought we had opened all of the presents, Andi surprised us all with giving Mr. B her growing crocodile wrapped in a hand towel! He is a little nervous of it!
The party crew chillin on the couch. Just ignore all of Richs unpacked work gear in the background!
We had a great night with Mr. B and everyone. We can't believe that our baby is 2 already and can't wait for the year to come and all the new challenges, opportunities and blessings that will accompany it. Mr. B you are so loved by your sisters and parents. You are so funny, and charismatic, especially for a 2 year old. We love how talented you are in sports and are impressed by your passion for the games already. You are the light in my life and my little man. You give the sweetest kisses and hugs and still snuggle with me. I can't wait to go to your little league games and cheer loudly for all of you home runs, touchdowns, goals, points and hole in ones. I love you so so so much and want to you know it. Love you little man!

Lost Coco
Our poor bird flew out the door on Thursday and has been missed ever since. We ignored the thoughts and feelings over the past 2 weeks to clip her wings so she won't fly out the door and what do ya know it happened. We are so frustrated at ourselves and poor Jailyn is so sad and wants her bird back.
LOST COCKATIEL "COCO"
Coco is yellow and white with orange cheeks. She has long feathers that stick up on her head when she gets excited.
I got her for Christmas and she is my best friend and can whistle "woot-woo", please cal me if you find her.
Thank you!
