Trent in Tijuana

My baby brother is serving his mission in Tijuana right now and as most of you have heard there was an earthquake close to there, in Mexicali.  Trent has been in 2 earthquakes since arriving in mexico and wanted one that was a little bit "cooler". 

The first 2 earthquakes he was in were both in Mexicali.  (He just got transferred from Mexicali to Tijuana about 6 weeks ago.)  The first earthquake was small only about 4.0ish and the second was around 6.2ish. He said the second one had things falling off of the wall and stuff and that was really cool.  One thing he mentioned about the earthquakes is that the aftershocks made him motion sick because the ground is always moving and swaying back and forth/up and down.  I will now be putting some dramamine in the 72-hour-kit. Thank you for the tip Trent.  

We were all really excited to here what he saw with this last earthquake but turns out that the earthquake happened right during siesta time.  He said, "Well if you are waiting for a big story on the earthquake i suggest that you go look on the internet or the news because well from what i have heard it was at like almost 4 here and so that is 5 there at home so we were already back to the house and well the truth is that i was asleep and all of the other elders also and so we didnt feel it but it did happen because i have heard alot about it and we also got a call from the leaders to see if we were alright and that is what woke us up."

One of our family friends has a office down in Tijuana and one of their workers got these pictures during the earthquake.  They are amazing, and kindof scary since Tijuana is about 200 miles away from the epicenter.
